Safety for the children participating in our programs is of prime concern to the Eden Prairie Soccer Association.  For that reason, all volunteer coaches are required to complete a background check.  The Eden Prairie Soccer Association has contracted with the background screening company, The McDowell Agency, Inc,. from St. Paul.  This is the agency that is recommended by the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association and used by hundreds of soccer clubs and associations throughout the state.

Background checks are paid for by the Eden Prairie Soccer Association and all information required for the background checks is entered into McDowell Agency, Inc.'s secure web site.  The only information the Eden Prairie Soccer Association receives from The McDowell Agency, Inc. is a report indicating if the volunteer is able to coach with the Eden Prairie Soccer Association.  You will also receive a copy of the report and a certificate indicating you are able to coach.

Background checks are valid for two years.

INSTRUCTIONS:
During registration, you will be asked to volunteer to coach.  If you sign up to be a volunteer coach, you will then receive an email from the Eden Prairie Soccer Association with a PDF file of instructions on how to complete the Background Check as well as a link to The McDowell Agency, Inc.  If you volunteered to coach and have not received this email within three business days from the Association, please email our Risk Management Coordinator: [email protected].

The Eden Prairie Soccer Association is proud to be an all-volunteer organization and we can't do this without the help of over 200 coaches each season.
